Laura Magers is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator and Qualified Arbitrator. She mediates cases in the Florida courts for both private mediation and court ordered mediation. Laura is also an arbitrator for Lemon Law cases as well as for court-appointed and private cases.  Laura has also mediated family law cases in California for over 10 years. She is a member of the Riverside County Superior Court (California) Family Law Private Mediation Panel.

Laura has been a licensed practicing attorney in California since 1997 and Florida since 2020.  Since 2004, Laura has devoted her practice to family law.  Laura has extensive experience litigating all aspects of family law, including child custody and parenting schedules, child support, spousal support/alimony, paternity, property and debt issues, domestic violence restraining orders, and contempts.  As a result of her extensive experience practicing family law, Laura is intimately familiar with the challenges that divorcing parents face and uses her knowledge and experience in mediation to help parties resolve their issues in order to create a parenting plan that is best for their children. 

Prior to practicing family law, Laura was a prosecuting attorney for Riverside County, California, for over 6 years.  During that time, Laura worked in specialized units including the domestic violence, child abuse and sexual assault units.  Laura also prosecuted cases involving alcohol and drugs as well as serious crimes such as rape, armed robbery and murder.  Laura’s extensive training and experience in criminal law has given her unique insight into family dynamics and domestic violence issues.
