Mediation is a way for parties to resolve their case without court intervention and litigation.  Whether the Judge has ordered you to attend mediation, or you want to resolve your case before you file court documents (“pre-suit”), mediation can save you valuable time, money and emotion.

In mediation, you can:

  • control the outcome, rather than have a judge decide for you
  • resolve your case sooner than you would if you litigated in court
  • save money by resolving your case without extensive attorney and litigation costs
  • open the lines of communication with the other side which can lead to improved co-parenting in the future
  • move on with your life sooner with your dignity intact

In mediation, you will work with Laura Magers, a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator.  With extensive training and experience in mediating all aspects of family law cases, Laura is a neutral facilitator who opens the lines of communication, assists both parties in exploring their settlement options, encourages joint problem solving, and works with both parties to reach an agreement that works best for them.   Laura has successfully helped parties reach agreements involving their children (parental responsibility, parenting plans, visitation), child support, spousal support (alimony), division of property and debts, and post-Judgment issues.
